This auction is for a Mar. 13, 1869 Five Dollars Virginia Treasury Note from Richmond, Virginia. This note is very heavily circulated and has the following: very heavy folding and wear (also has many heavier creases and many areas of wrinkled folding); overall staining and darker areas of spot/line/section stains (also has many smudges, many dark and dirty areas, grease stains, areas of discoloration); very heavy edge and corner wear (including corners rounded and/or split/frayed - edges rough in many areas and perhaps oddly cut); many edge indents/nicks (tears exist and some are large); very heavy surface wear and fraying (many areas of paper loss exist); at least one tiny hole that I could see.
