Remainder 18__ $50 Bank of Augusta, Georgia Obsolete Bank Note, PCGS 64 Apparent This $50 Bank of Augusta note with a large majestic eagle vignette would have been issued during the 19th Century (1800s) from the bank at Augusta, Georgia. However, our example here is a remainder note, meaning it was left unsigned, undated and unnumbered and never placed into circulation by the bank before the rest of the notes were withdrawn as legal tender. Hence its outstanding condition after all these years. This obsolete bank note has been inspected by PCGS Currency and determined to be in Very Choice New 64 Apparent condition with a notation for “Mounting Remnants on Back”.
