Haxby MI-50 G44b. By 1854, Ann Arbor’s banking landscape was thinning, and genuine Washtenaw notes circulated far less widely than Detroit or Monroe issues. Engraved by Danforth, Wright & Co., the note shows the firm’s mature mid‑1850s style—crisp vignettes, strong lathework, and a portrait plate consistent with their New York–Philadelphia production.
