AT GOODSPEED'S LANDING. The Bank of New England at Goodspeed's Landing was a state-chartered bank in East Haddam, Connecticut that operated from 1853 to 1865. Established on August 1, 1853 as one of 14 banks chartered under the Free Banking Law of 1852, the bank was dissolved at the foundation of the National Bank of New England on July 22, 1865.
