I purchased several of these obsolete salesman's samples from Col. Grover Criswell, may he rest in peace, back in the early 1980s. They were discovered in the wall of a house being remodeled, or so he told me. In any event, they are classic examples of Toppan, Carpenter and Company (precursor of American Bank Note Company). I have several other obsolete currency salesman's sample banknotes, progress impressions, and proof national currency bank name impressions that I will list in the future.
