Washington, TX- Bailey, Gay, and Hoxey Customer Promissory Note $33.75 Sep. 8, 1838 PCGS Banknote Extremely Fine 40. The firm of Bailey Gay and Hoxey was involved in the mercantile trade circa 1837 and was dissolved on August 4, 1839 according to newspaper accounts. Apparently John F.
