This is a modern (1984 ABNC Certification on the back) proof print by the American Bank Note Company of: $10. Obsolete Note of the Michigan State Bank, Detroit. The bank was chartered in 1835, but closed in 1839. It reopened in 1845, but closed ten years later when it's charter expired. Records of the notes this bank issued are incomplete. This print is made with the original steel engraved plate from the archives of ABNC. The print is in supurb proof condition.
